"The award pays tribute to individuals and organizations that have made significant contributions to the community. The 2009 recipients, who will be honored from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. at the Westin Bonaventure Hotel & Suites, at 404 S. Figueroa St., are boxing champ Oscar De La Hoya, Kaiser Permanente, sportscaster Jim Hill, the Los Angeles Community College District, Dodger star Don Newcombe and the L.A. Derby Dolls."
